The Choir of London maintains a particular focus on developing music education in the Palestinian territories and, since its creation in 2004, has run four large-scale projects in Palestine and developed a special relationship with, and admiration for, the groundbreaking work being carried out by Palestinian music schools.

In 2006 the Choir of London Bursary Scheme was launched to give young Palestinian musicians a chance to visit the UK for a short period of study, and the first four recipients of the Bursary arrived in August 2008 for a two-week course of musical study.

The Choir of London welcomed four more Bursary winners to the UK in August 2012, marking the beginning of a partnership with the British Council which has since seen a further nine students participate in the Scheme in 2013 and 2014.
