ACADEMIC PROGRAMME:

PUBLIC LECTURES AND FILM SCREENING

Held in conjunction with the Kenyon Institute in East Jerusalem, the public lecture series which ran alongside the Palestine Mozart Festival featured the distinguished Australian academic Peter Tregear (University of Melbourne) speaking on ‘Edward Said and Music’; and the British conductor and broadcaster Jeremy Summerly (Royal Academy of Music, London) discussing ‘Mozart and the Middle East’.

The Festival’s academic programme was further enriched by a screening of Phil Grabsky’s biographical documentary In Search of Mozart. The showing was introduced by Samuel West, who appears in the film as the voice of Mozart.
